The World Cruise Ship

The World is a private cruise ship that is at sea over eleven months per year.  The rooms, which are individually owned, range in size from around 800 square to over 3,000 square feet.  Needless to say, you do not feel like you are on a ship, it is more like being in a five star hotel.  We were invited on board by a friend  from Downey, Karyn Planett and her husband Geoff Thompson.  We had lunch on board, were given and tour of the ship and visited for a couple of hours.  Although the time on the ship was short, we really enjoyed ourselves and feel very fortunate to have been able to go on board.
